Hold the Windows key and press the period or semicolon key simultaneously. This works in Windows 10 and 11.
The emoji picker panel appears near your cursor. At the top, you will see tabs for Emojis, GIFs (Windows 11), Kaomoji, and Symbols. Type keywords to search for specific emojis.
Click any emoji to insert it at your cursor position. The picker stays open so you can insert multiple emojis. Press Escape or click elsewhere to close it.
At the bottom of the picker, you will find category icons (smileys, people, food, etc.) to quickly jump between emoji groups. Recently used emojis appear first.
